Happy Day Childcare is fully licensed by the State of Washington and the Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF). Owner and licensed provider Raven Bartlett meets all DCYF requirements, including:

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting
   
• Tuberculosis test
   
• Completion of DCYF Licensing Orientation
   
• Minimum age of 18 and high school diploma (or equivalent)
   
• Pre-service training: Child Care Basics, First Aid/CPR, Blood-Borne Pathogens, Safe Sleep for Infants, Food Handlers (when applicable) childcare.org+12wonderschool.com+12dcyf.wa.gov+12sgclassesonline.com+4dcyf.wa.gov+4imaginewa.org+4
   
• In-home licensee requirement: 10 hours of annual in-service training including Enhancing Quality of Early Learning and Leadership Practices dcyf.wa.gov
   
• Holds an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Initial Certificate (12 college credits) with time allowed until August 1, 2026 to complete required education per WAC 110‑300 dcyftraining.com+4dcyf.wa.gov+4wfis.org+4
   

Victoria “Sissy”  our certified Lead Teacher, also fulfills DCYF qualifications with:

• Background check, TB test, age 18+, and high school diploma
   
• Pre-service trainings listed above

• Holds or is working toward the ECE Initial Certificate as required for Family Home Lead Teachers childcare.org+11dcyf.wa.gov+11dcyf.wa.gov+11
